Birthday Layout!!

I made this layout to show how the two birthday idea worked.
The reason I had to do two birthdays for my daughter is because for my husband's parents don't get along AT ALL!! She kept giving me mean looks for inviting his dad's family and I didn't want drama this time around. It worked it was better but hard to get two cakes and two parties and originally we were going to have three but that week there was a virus on my father in law's house so skipped that one.
But if I may say something to the ladies and gentlemen  that don't get along with their ex-spouses and make it difficult, just grow up!! Is not the kid's fault!! Grow UP!!

I used the same candle in both parties and she even practice the week before blowing out the candle.
This was party number one which was on my husband's mother side. It was on Mother's Day,
she was born on Mother's Day. Best Gift Ever!!

Party Number Two with my side of the family,
just my Mom's side. I'm not close with my dad.

The number is from the Once Upon a Princess Cartridge
but the rest of the words are cut from Cherry Limeade.
The butterflies are a punch and the pearls were made
with the Viva Pen Liquid Pearls.
As you can see again I doodled my little butt off :)

The stars are from George and Basic Shapes.

I made 3 tulle bows, I'm loving the tulle lately.
I also kept playing with the rule of threes with the buttons.

What inspired me to make this kind of layout was an
article on Creating Keepsakes that talk about
how to use the grid on layouts.
Check it out is pretty awesome!!

I am entering this layout in the ScrapFIT challenge
and the challenge was to use numbers.
I hope you liked this Double Whammy!!

Laugh Layout!!

For this fun layout I used a few techniques to match
the funny face my girl is making.
For the background I heat embossed those white flowers
and circles and I doodled the border.

I used cereal box
(because I don't buy chipboard, Recycle People!!)
to cut that flourish from Gypsy Wanderings then I used acrylic paint and glitter. The laugh was a chipboard piece that someone gave me and I did the same paint glitter process.

For the ribbon I used a Xyron Sticker Maker
and I folded some parts.
I made the flowers one of them with fabric and
the other one with 5 inch circles.
The stars are from the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge
and I use cereal box and patterned paper with glossy accents. That journaling spot is from Martha Stewart.

Here I layered the stars and I used the
same treatment as the in the others.
I covered the stickers with Glossy Accents and it says "Live"

I used this sketch from Purple Pumpkin with some flipping.

I hope you liked how I used the sketch!!

Guest Designer @ Inking It Up Crazy!!

Today Kassidy is having me as a guest designer for her
 birthday celebration.
Don't miss the party at her blog Inking It Up Crazy
Today she is showcasing We R Memory Keepers Products
and I chose to use the Sew Easy and the Crop A Dile.
I did double layout of my daughter
listening to music on her dad's I phone.
My hubby bought ME an I phone but she uses it
a lot more than I do, and she is only two years old.
(Click photo to see it bigger)

The photo mats are doodled.

I hid this journaling spot behind a photo.

These chipboard flowers were sent to me by
my Aussie Blogger Friend, Rachel.
It was raw chipboard so I used the Martha Stewart Ink Pad
to make it brown and in the background I used
white cardstock to make it stand out.

The title Turn It Up is from the Rock Princess Cartridge and
I doodled the borders and used Glossy Accents in it.

I did that journaling part with my Dymo Label Maker.

Here you can see the other two chipboard flowers that Rachel sent me.

This cool headphones are from the Rock Princess Cart.
I did 4 types of simple doodles and used Glossy Accents.

For this border I used a cut on Home Decor and some Musical Notes from Slumber Party.
I used the weld tool on my gypsy.
And again doodles and Glossy Accents.

I did this corset type thingy with my Crop A Dile. You can also do it with the Big Bite but if you don't have the big bite punch the holes before putting the paper on the back.
I used two colors of eyelets.

This cute musical notes ribbon is from American Crafts.

For the Love of Slides Layout!!

I just got the best book about scrapbooking that I have!!
One of the chapters inspired this layout and
also the challenge @ Piensa Scrap.
The challenge is too use more than 3 buttons
(maybe I took it too far...)
I love this kind of artsy layouts :)

I made this flower with fabric and
the center is a brad that I made with my I Top.

Esta flor esta hecha con tela y el
centro es un brad que hice con mi I Top.

Here you can see my doodling, the buttons border and the journaling made with my Dymo Label Maker.

Aqui pueden ver mis doodles, el borde que hice con botones y la documentacion que hice con mi rotuladora Dymo.

I painted the cardboard white just to have another fun element. I also made the flower in the center
with 5 one inch punched circles. In the yellow circle
I placed two button snap fasteners.

Pinte el carton de blanco solo para tener otro
elemento divertido. La flor del centro la hice con
cinco circulos de una pulgada cada uno. En el
boton amarillo puse dos botones de metal.

All the colors were taken from the photo,
mostly from my daughter's t-shirt.

Todos los colores fueron tomados de la foto,
la mayoria de la camisa de mi nena.

In the button border I also used bling and
I layered some of the buttons.

En el borde de botones tambien use bling y
 tambien mezcle algunos botones.

I threaded ribbon on this huge button and made a bow.

Puse cinta en un boton grande he hice un lazo.

Wish me luck in the challenge!!
I hope you like what I made!!
Take Care!!

Deseenme suerte en el reto!!
Espero que les guste lo que hice!!

Celebrate Layout!!

This week you will probably see layouts of
my daughter's  2nd birthday so let me start with this one
of her blowing out the candle.
To jump start my creativity I was inspired in these challenges:
Scrappy Moms Terrific Tuesdays: Sweet Treats Cartridge
The Paper Variety: Use Different Type of Alphas/Fonts
Stuck Sketches:

The only way your are surprised by the doodling overload
is if you are new to my blog.
In that case: Hi! I'm Jennie and I am Compulsive Doodler :)

The word Celebrate is from Gypsy Wanderings.
The black lines are also doodles.

This 2 candle looks like the one my daughter used
and is from the Sweet Treats Cart.
For the rest of the title I used letter stickers and
the date I use my Dymo Label Maker.

For the banner I used 1.5 inch circles folded with the floss inside. I like the clothespins, is a nice touch but I used a little glue to prevent the floss from moving.

I used buttons and doodles in the banner.
I don't know if you can tell that the background is purple,
it looks kind of blue on pictures.

I hope you liked my layout!!

Challenge Me Monday!! Summer Sun

This week the challenge at Fantabuous Cricut is to use a Sun.

The doodled word Sunshine that is from Gypsy Wanderings.

I love that Sun from Simply Charmed, he is the coolest!!
The embossed cloud is from Create A Critter.

The waves are from Everyday Paper Dolls
and I embossed them.

Birthday Nap Layout

My daughter has a thing for getting sick on her birthday celebrations it happened on her first and second birthday. Poor baby wasn't that happy about singing Happy Birthday :/
She was fine the next day,
Thank God who always protects her :)
I made this layout for two challenges:
Scrap That Baby: Favorite Toy
Sassy Lil' Sketches:
This is a great sketch for scraps.
If you are already a follower you probably have seen
Lily, my daughter's fave dolly.
She can't sleep without her, the other day we couldn't find her before her bedtime and when she woke up the first thing I heard was "Oh No!! Lily!!" and when I opened the door she was like mama, Lily was kidnapped!! LOL

I made these yo-yo fabric with some kind of tie dye fabric.
I used the stickers on the transparency for the title.

I used three types of tiny font sticker to journal.
I also added a Imaginisce Stamp to simulate Lily and
I tried to paper piece it but I wasn't that successful.

I hope you liked my take on the challenges!!
Take Care!!
