About This Girl Layout

I wanted to scrap this picture of my daughter since I took it.
I was testing my new Nikon camera
and I took this picture of her.
Sadly my Nikon camera came without Ashton Kutcher
:( False Advertising!!
I found a sketch on Stuck?! Sketches
and I thought it was perfect for this picture.

For the title I used white letter stickers
and the word Girl from the All Mixed Up Cart.
This flower I made it with an 1 inch circle punch.

The crochet flowers were made by Debbie Bakk   and the pink flower behind it is from Sweet Treats and I just divided petals to give it a bit of dimension.
In the center I used a My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup Brad.
The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps and I used white embossing powder instead of regular ink.

This heart border punch is from EK Success.
I also used a curling technique
that I learned from the Creating Keepsakes website.
Most of the papers used on this layout are from Pebbles.

I did a different style of faux stitching on the border
and I used black floss (is kind of hard to do this).
There was or there is, I'm not sure, a show called
Trading Spaces and it was a home decor show
but I remember a designer that used to say
that every room needed a touch of black and
I believe that it also applies to layouts.
That is why I did my photo mat in black and the floss.

This was the sketch I used:

I hope you liked my version of the sketch!!

Itha's Day Out Layout!!

This picture was taken a year ago.
As I've said many times I am not a chronological scrapper.

I actually took this doily from a restaurant,
I'm not proud but I thought it was so pretty!!
I used a regular binder clip and I just put some paper on it,
I also tied a ribbon on it.
The growing paper is from a Prima 6x6 pad.

I made this flower with a 1 inch circle punch and on the center I use a brad that I made with my I Top.
On top of the brad I used bling. The butterflies I made
them with a punch and Prima scraps.

I made this brad with my I Top too, same technique
and for the title I used letter stickers.
The strips of patterned paper that I used on this layout are from the packs that bring and extra 1/2 of an inch
with a hole to hang on the stores.

I divided the doily in two.

I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketch.
Is an interesting sketch
and I used the first DT example as inspiration.

I hope you like my take on the challenge!!

Reach for the Stars Layout

This is a cricutless layout with
a few experiments on the way...
Tell me what you think.

I stamped the journaling on another paper
to avoid messing up the page.
Is from a song of Mindy Gledhill called "Hourglass"
The chipboard letters are from K and Company.
Behind you can see the Tim Holtz mask and
I used the Mustard Seed Distress Ink.

This is the Daisy Fan Border Punch from Martha Stewart
and the ribbon is from American Crafts.

I used the Sew Easy, more ribbon and
more Martha Stewart border punches.
I also used a crocheted flower made by Debbie Bak.

I used this sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.

Don't forget my 300 Followers Giveaway!!
I hope you like my take on the sketch!!

All Things Must Pass Layout

As I told you before I stole some pictures from my Grandmother and I found this picture of her with my grandfather and I just love it!! Is so romantic!!
When I finished my first thought was "Twilight... Yuck!!"
But I looked again and I liked it!!

I used the Tim Holtz Mini masks and Distress Ink.
I'm still learning..
The font is from Blackletter, which I don't used that much.

The key is from Gypsy Wanderings
and the lock is from Indie Art.
I colored it with bronze paint and then I used Glossy Accents.

For this lock from Gypsy Wanderings I used the same treatment and I used two brass brads.

I used the Sketch from Frosted Designs but due to the storm we had in Puerto Rico I had no electricity and I couldn't posted in time.  I still wanted to share it.

I hope you like my take on the sketch!!

Wish Layout

This week at the Queen's Craftroom
we have a California inspired theme.
I chose Hippie Culture because while I was raiding my grandmother's pictures I found this really cool picture of my mom's cousin and she looked kind of hippie with her clothes. I instantly fell in love with that picture and I asked
my grandmother to let me borrow some
pictures to scan and copy.
I chose the Prima papers Madeline Collection, to mimic all the crazy patterns and colors from the 1960's.

I used watercolor paper and doodled a lot of non sense
and colored it with watercolors.

That scalloped circle with the quote is the
Prima 6x6 Paper Pack.

This was inspired on the Woodstock Poster, even though Woodstock was in New York is very important in hippie culture. The guitar is from Rock Princess and
the birdie is from Simply Charmed.

I dry embossed the bird's belly and I used a googly eye.

This card is from My Mind's Eye Playing Cards Pack.
Is not glued there I just stuck it there.

I used the back of the card as a journaling spot.
The journaling reads: "While taking pictures from my grandmother's stash I found many pictures of her niece, Evelyn. Apparently she loved pictures.
I instantly loved this picture.
Taken @ Bda. Carmen, Salinas."

Close Up of the Watercolor Doodling.
I hope you like my California Dreaming Project!!

Paper Bag Mini Album

I wanted to share this mini that I gave to
my husband's cousin on her 15th birthday.
I am also entering this mini in the
Scrapalicious USA challenge: Anything but a card.
The dress for is form Forever Young
I used Gold Stickles for the stand.

I painted the flowers with bronze paint and
I stamped the butterfly in Prima Paper.

The mini was made with paper bags and I covered them
with paper but I also painted the edges of the bags
with bronze paint.

I put several tags on the mini and I stamped all of them.

I hope you like my mini!!

Baby Boy Layout

Before I talk about my project I want to thank God for giving me a girl because I can't get the boyish theme right.
I was doing some layouts for my husband's cousin that is having a baby boy and I was boy stupid
( just like in High School!!)
But I liked this one a little bit more than the other I did.
The future mother told me that she liked them
but I was like Eeehhh...
For the orange frame I used Gypsy Wanderings.

I used the Garden Trellis Border Punch
from Martha Stewart.

The baby cut is from All Mixed Up, my new fave font!!

This cute birds are from Simply Charmed and they are simply cute and simply flipped in my Gypsy.

This bird also from simply Charmed
and I simply added some googly eyes.

I simply need to end the post
and I need to stop using the word simply.
I am entering this layout on Emma's Throwback Thursday:
Use a Retired Cartridge (All Mixed Up)

I used this sketch for a challenge in the
 Scrapbooking PR Yahoo Groups
SKETCH JULY

I hope you liked my boy inspired layout!!

Challenge Me Monday!! Piece of Cake!!

This week at Fantabulous Cricut
we are enjoying cupcakes and baked goods!!
I did another layout for my daughter's birthday.
This was from the party for my husband's side.

I love this phrase and is from the Sweet Treats carts,
which is a great cart for birthdays.
You can make the party treat bags, decorations and invitations with it and you can make the scrapbook layouts with it.
The one thing I don't like about it is the shadow,
 a bit exaggerated.
For this cart Provo Craft said bring on the shadow!!
They super did it.

This cut is from the Phrase feature of One Upon a Princess.
Great Girly Cartridge!!

This sweet birthday cake is from Simply Charmed,
I hid the face because I wanted to use a Peachy Keen Face
but I like how it look this way.

This is "my daughter" :)
I used the Pechy Keen Everyday Faces Assortment.

I love this birthday cupcake!!
See what I mean with the shadow??

I can't wait to see your yummy creations!!
I hope you liked mine!!
Take Care!!
