ABC Week with Tombow!! Staying Creative!!

Is the last ABC Week of the year!! I hope you enjoyed this year with us as much as I enjoyed being on this awesome team!!  For this project I felt like doing something a little more free and for me instead of making something that needed to be perfect for my daughter or someone else. I just came across a list call 33 Ways To Stay Creative and I just loved it!! This is a must project for every craftroom or crafty friend and I think we all need to take a little something of this awesome list.
It helped me a lot!!

For this project I went simple green, meaning that I used Toilet Paper Rolls for the base of this mini and then used 6×6 patterned paper and Mono Multi Liquid Glue to cover the rolls. The Mono Multi Liquid Glue also work for embellishments like the felt flower I made, the feather and of course the paper butterfly. The great thing about a mini like this is that you don’t need to buy extra stuff to make it, so if your New Year’s Resolution is to hoard less paper or embellishments this is a great project. I just used whatever I had laying around my craftroom. I used 5 toilet paper rolls and on the inside I took a 2×8 piece of cardstock and fold it in half, that way each piece had 4 pages. That was a total of 20 spaces to write the 33 ways to stay creative. I picked my favorite ten and used them for the outside of the paper rolls and the rest were displayed on the cards. Instead of printing the list or using my handwriting I used lots of alpha stickers, punch outs and my label maker. I used my Tombow Dual Brush Pens to doodle, color stamps and stamp some of my images.

I used a lot of alphas and mixed some of them up because for some reason there are never enough vowels, r or s. I also used decorative tapes, border punches and paper scraps. I used my Stamp Runner for the scraps, the stamp feature of the Stamp Runner is great for those tiny pieces of paper.
I also used some free downloads to print.

I made this music sheet pattern with a stamp.

This library card was one of the free printables I used.

This polka dot paper is from the
Smash Book line of K & Company.

The air balloon is an inchie from Inkadinkadoo and this butterflies are from Inspired By Stamping.

I used a EK Success Book Binding Border Punch on this polka dot patterned paper to use repetition on my project.

The tape on this picture and the one above are from a
Martha Stewart Halloween Line.

I loved making this kind of inspirational project, without a doubt I’ll be making a few of these in 2012. Well, I think this project takes care of #33. Do you think you are in the mood to try some of the things of this list?
I know some Tombow Products that can help you…
I hope you liked this project!!

Thursdays with Tombow, this week with Elizabeth Crafts

We are three days away from Christmas, can you believe it?!
But before the year is over we got to play with stickers from Elizabeth Crafts which are very versatile, fun, cool and they work perfect with the Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
For my first card I used some of
Marie's Tips on Monday, isn't she a genius?!

After I used the sticker to color the negative space I
cleaned it a bit with a wipe or dry cloth and stuck it behind the strip I made.

For the sentiment I used a rubber stamp with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens and then added a tiny bit of  water with a water mister and it worked gorgeous because it made it darker in a few corners like a shadow but it covered evenly.

I also used the Tombow Dual Brush Pens for the Faux Stitching. In case you didn't noticed *the Tombow Dual Brush Pens work for coloring, rubber stamping, doodling and calligraphy. They would make the perfect gift for that special crafty person in your life.  I know I love mine because they amp up every project I make.

On my second card I went Springy, I know is Winter but I don't do so well with winter temperatures and I can't wait for Spring. These bird stickers are the cutest!! I wanted to make a little scene based on the sentiment which says
"Follow Your Dreams" in Spanish.

Santa brought me a Big Shot,Yay!! This frame is from a Nestabilities set that I won a while back and I doodled the borders and stamped my sentiment with Latina Crafter stamps in Spanish. I used "Para Alguien Especial" Set and the stamp says "Sigue Tus SueƱos" which means follow your dreams.

I took simple white frame and I stamped my sentiment there and then I doodled the border to spice it up and I did the same to the leaves. When I glued the leaves with my Mono Multi Liquid Glue I just applied glue to one point on the leaf under the branch and bent the other to give it some dimension. For the clouds I used Tombow Foam Tabs and for the bird I stacked two Foam Tabs together.

After I colored the bird I used Glossy Accents on it.
The clouds are from the

Doing the mask technique with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens was really fun, I hope to try it again soon!!
I hope you liked my project!!
