Thursday with Tombow: Retro Correction

This week we are getting crafty with Correction Tape. I am loving my Smash Book lately so this was a great place to try this technique. I wanted to make the black patterned paper pop a little bit so I used the Correction Tape on the border and then I distressed it a lot until it looked like I wanted and then I inked the border. I LOVE how it came out.
In the first page I used a picture of my uncle when he was a baby, I just thought that it looked like those vintage commercial photos. The papers are from Die Cuts With A View and the washi tape and hanger paper clips are from Tim Holtz.  I also added a bubble from the Imagine More Cartridge with some alpha stickers from Recollections. My brother calls everyone "Dude" so I had to use it in the bubble.
For my Facebook status photo I only used my Stamp Runner Dot Adhesive on the sides and the bottom to create a pocket where I could put the library card with the journaling.
I LOVE using my Dual Bush Pens with my Spirograph!! And for the buttons in the middle I use Tombow Power Tabs.
For the three Epiphany Crafts circle embellishments I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue. But for the playing card I used the Stamp Runner Dot Adhesive only on the left so I could I be able to slip the library card in and out.

Here you can take a better look at the Correction Tape technique. I spell "little bother" on purpose in case you were wondering ;0)
This hanger is actually a clip but I didn't want to put it behind something and I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue to glue it there.
I hope you enjoyed the technique!!

Joy's Life: Relax and Unwind

This week we are decorating some amazing CD Cases
that are available at the Joy's Life Store!!
Do you think kids still exchange Mix CDs
(what some of us remind as Mix Tapes)??
How cool was it right??
That is why I quickly thought about this
cassette cut from Indie Art.

I also used my Imagine Cartridge Industrial Glow
which I didn't really care for until I made this project!!
Now I can't wait to try it again!!
The purple tag is from Recollections.
The star I made it with an Inkadinkadoo stamp and my
Epiphany Crafts Star Tool.

One thing that I LOVE about Joy's Life stamps is that Holiday sets can also be used all year like this "Relax and Unwind" Stamp that you can find in the Halloween Puns Stamp Set.

To add another touch of throwback I used my Spirograph
with some buttons and Trendy Twine.

I used the Grape Fizz Color and I tell you is incredibly cute!!

Just in case you are curious about how they look without the embellishments...
Here's a look!!

Well I hope I inspired you to give these CD Cases a try,
they are really a bomb!!

Thursdays with Tombow: Teaming Up with Canvas Corp

This week we have the opportunity to play with some Canvas Corp Products!! They are such a great match to Tombow Products!! For the first one I used one of their 4×6 Canvas which I covered with Mono Multi Liquid to glue two types of patterned paper.

Then with Tombow Foam Tabs I used this bird which is a die cut that I put together using the Mono Multi Liquid Glue. Since it has many fine lines I used the fine tip side. I also used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue to glue the Canvas Corp clothespins and the pennant.

I also got these canvas pennants and I stamped with green and then stamped again in black just to give it a little shadow. I inked the edges with green and then I doodled some lines with a Dual Brush Pen.

Those pennants better watch out because now I want to use them everywhere.

We received a lot of stuff so I wanted to make a second project. I altered this paper lunch bag using the cool paper they sent us.
So mat the Navy Paper from the Ivory Basics Collection I used white cardstock and, the Stamp Runner Dot Adhesive.
For the flap I used this gorgeous and big Canvas Corp canvas flower, I glued it to the bag with Mono Multi Liquid Glue.  On the center I used their burlap star and with my I Top I made this 28mm brad using their Navy Paper and to place it on top I used Power Tabs. I Inked the edges of the flower and after painting the star white and sewing on it I also inked the edges of the star.
This is such a great idea for masculine gifts.
I hope you are enjoying this blog hop with Canvas Corp as much as we are enjoying their products!! Go to their FB page and tell Canvas Corp that Tombow sent you then let us know on our page athttps://www.facebook.com/tombowusa

Joy's Life: Grad Smash

This week at the joy's Life Design Team Blog
we are Graduating from Crafty 101
and for my project I made a Smash Book Double Page
about my own graduation!!

This is the first page, one of the few photos I took.
To give the page a little more detail I used papers from
My Mind's Eye and Colorbok.
The brads on the flowers are from My Mind's Eye.

In that calendar pocket I have my SAT Scores
and My Admission Letter to College.
The alphas are from Recollections.

I LOVE heat embossing these sentiments!!
These one is from Yummy Puns Stamp Set.
I made that flower with
Tim Holtz's Tattered Flowers Sizzix Die.
I used book pages and I misted them with Ditto Mists.
On the center I used a bunch of Recollections Pearls.

In the smash pocket I have my Honors Medal :0D
At first I was afraid to put it in but Ana, a good friend from Smash*aholics group encouraged me to put it. " Go for it Jennie. Don't worry that your book gets all chunkie. Its full of memory goodness" That is good advice, right?!

The clear border sticker is from Martha Stewart.
The sentiment is from one of the
new sets Tag You're It Number One.
But the brackets are from Barnyard Puns.
You can get your Joy's Life Stamps <<here.

This week at Peachy Keen the challenge is Anything Goes!!

Everyone has a chance to win some goodies from our shop so don't miss your chance!!

For my project I made a Smash Book Double Page!!
I am just crazy about smashing lately!!
(Click Photo for Larger Image)

For this pages I was inspired in a picture of one of my Grandma's Ex. Cute Huh?? Why would I use a picture of a guy I never even met?? I got issues, don't judge!! But I was going through my Grandma's photo albums and I scanned lots of pictures that I loved (even if I didn't knew the person) and I found this one and, on the back it said "De Tu Amorcito Julio" (From Your Love Julio). How Awesome!!
The camera is a cut from the Imagine More Cartridge.

I also went through my letter/cards/crap pile and
found old boyfriend and admirer's letters and cards!!
I put them all in a Smash Pocket.

I took an ATC size piece of chipboard and colored this cherub from the Cupid's Sting Set, which I ADORE!!
I colored him with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

This sentiment is from the Kiss Me Leprechaun Stamp Set.
 I used heat embossing!!

I LOVE these new Recollections Tags :0)
The alphas are also Recollections.

This word is from the January Stamp Set Of The Month.

I decorated the pocket with some Imagine More cuts, Recollections Ticket Stubs, a My Mind's Eye Run On
and a heat embossed image of the cherub.

I did one normal cherub and one heat embossed cherub to pick one and since I couldn't decide I used both.

Remember is Anything Goes!! So show us something Peachy!!
I hope you liked my smashing!!
Take Care!!
