Thursdays with Tombow: Bonjour Paris!!

One thing I LOVE is getting mail, nothing makes your day like a great letter or an amazing postcard. Since I have so many I bought the big  Smash Book (11x13.5) to put all my postcards and letters in it. My plan was to put two or more in each page but I ended up doing what I always do in the other Smash Books. I only used one postcard but  I still like it!!
I LOVE the using the Mono Adhesive Dots for Magazines and thin papers since they don't leave any visible marks on the front. I colored this camera digi from Angie Delarie with the Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
To glue the wooden letters I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue.
Who loves a money saving tip?? Well, Flair Buttons are very in right now, but for the price of one pack of these you can buy twice or maybe three times flat buttons. The only difference is the fact that they don't adhesive. You can get them at etsy, you use a Tombow Power Tabs and they work perfect!!

I hope you liked this cheap trip to Paris!!

Joy's Life: Hello Sunshine!!

This week at Joy's Life we are inspired by paint swatches and I decided to make a swatch book about my latest obsession... Washi Tape.
The first step is admitting you have a problem.
I am not doing such thing because I am not obsessed just dedicated and only quitters quit.
I made the cover with one of the adorable faces from the Smiley Cards Cartridge and I made the polaroid on my Gypsy using paper from the Kaleidoscope Pyramid Paper Pad and the George and Basic Shapes Cart.

I organized it by color and I used both sides of the tags I found in the Winter Frolic Cart. I used both sides to keep it from bulking up and to save paper and space.

I have swatches for my embossing plates and embossing powders but this one looks so much fun!!

This sentiment is from the Set Pun In The Sun.

How do you keep yourself organized??
I hope you enjoyed this!!

and Cri-Kits Gel Pens Hop!!
You came here from Amy's Blog but if you happened to stumble across my blog go to Joy's Blog to start.

I honestly can't tell you how much I LOVE the Cri-Kits Pens!!! They are way cool!!
For my project I did a Smash Book Page on my Smithsonians/DC Book.

The first page is a photo I took at the Air and Space Museum.

This page... Oh man this page!!! I made it with my Gypsy and the Cri-Kits!! I made my own little version of La Minerve. I used the Black Pen from the Regular and Neon Set. I used these cartridges: George and Basic Shapes, Indie Art, Home Decor, Christmas, April Showers and Paper Dolls Dress Up.

I stamped Bon Voyage on a Ribbon from
May Arts and I LOVE how it turned out!!
The sentiment is from the set Pun In The Sun.

I used the Square Epiphany Crafts Tool
and part of photo to make this mosaic.

This info was at the exhibit.

Thursdays with Tombow!!: Walnut Hollow Blog Hop

This week we are hoping with Walnut Hollow and they sent me their circle panels and I just LOVE them!! And my daughter LOVES them too!! You'll see why :0)
My first project is a sign for my daughter's bedroom. She loves tea parties and the other day I made a card with this coffee/tea image and she loved it, so I wanted to make her something with it. I used the Chloe's Garden Collection from Momenta for this sign. She was so happy with her sign!!
I used the 10 inch Circle Shadow Panel and to cover it with paper I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue. To place the rest of the die cuts I used mostly Tombow Foam Tabs and the Mono Multi Liquid Glue.
For my second project I have to give credit yet again to my three year old. When the box with the products came she looked at the panels and said "Look a circle, like a pizza!!" And it hit me with this great idea!! I should make a play pizza!!
I covered the Six Inch Circle Shadow Panel with Momenta Paper from the Family Outings Collection. I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue and to protect it I used a few layers of the Mono Aqua Liquid Glue.
To make the "ingredients" I used Polymer Clay. For this step the kids can help out by making the ingredients but the baking should be done by an adult.
Then I used the Fastener Tabs so she could customize the pizza how she wanted it to. I used one side of the velcro on the pizza and the other on the ingredients. This is also a great way to learn shapes.
What was your last kid friendly craft??
I hope you can use this idea with your kids or grand kids!! Let us know how it goes!!

Joy's Life: Cri-Kits Week!!

This week we are having crazy fun with the Cri-Kits!!
For this card I made my own background using
the Neon Pens and the Indie Art Cartridge.

I used a sentiment from the Halloween Puns Stamp Set
I made cassette slightly bigger and used the shadow feature
to cut it out and then made another shadow
a little bit bigger for the black shadow.

Making a background like this can be time consuming.
If you would like the Gypsy File just leave me a comment with your email and I'll send it to you. :0)

Friday

Thursdays with Tombow: New Soul

We often for get that crafting should be fun. We get caught up in finishing projects, albums and the things that people want us to make. But sometimes we need to step back and go back to the fun side. I LOVE today’s project because I had so much fun doing it. I used to do draw and doodle all the time and with my daughter and housework drawing has taken the back seat. For this smash book pages I did a little bit of that!! I hope you enjoy it!!
One of the biggest trends right now are Polaroid. I made these with my Cricut and I embossed them to make them extra special. For putting these on the page I used the Mono Adhesive Dots which I also used for the background papers since I didn’t love the pattern on the page.
For inspiration I used a song called “New Soul” from Yael Naim. I just LOVE using song and quotes on my projects!!
I LOVE writing with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens!! Is so easy!! You just write the word in a base color and then add another color and to make it more stream lined you just use a black pen around the marker.
I did the same with the word “Soul” and I also used the Tombow Dual Brush Pens to color this cute camera digi stamp from Angie Delarie.  A girl asked me the other day how did I made them so bright?? Well, I don’t make then bright, that is all Tombow. The really bright colors can be found in the Retro Set.
Since I LOVE quirky and I easily run out of E, T, S and a few more I decided to mix lots of alphas styles. And I of course I had to doodle the word “Joy”. I also LOVE these new Studio G brads but since this is a Smash Book the page behind it was already being used I couldn’t poke a hole in the page (which I am so not a fan). So What I always do is use a Tombow Power Tab to keep the brad in it’s place which is even better because it doesn’t move.
I had a little fun with the words. I made little monsters on the word “Fear” and I colored them with Dual Brush Pens. I also used some alpha letters upside down.
What is the funnest project you have ever made?? Don’t forget to share it with us!!
Don’t you LOVE this pretty rainbow?? Have you used Tombow Dual Brush Pens??

Joy's Life: Oldies But Goodies

This week at Joy's Life we are using older stamps.
I made this silly card with one of
my favorite sets Yummy Puns.

I made this cutie with the Watermelon from
Simply Charmed and the body is from Paper Dolls Everyday.
For the doll I cut it at the belly horizontally
and then cut the upper body part in half vertically.
Then arrange and glue down :0)

I used the sentiment from Yummy Puns in a
conversation bubble from Create A Critter.

I hope you enjoyed it!!

Friday

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge!! Just Cards: Popped Up!!

Thank God Is FRIDAY!!! Woo-Hoo!!
That brings a new fun challenge

THE CHALLENGE
Create a card with an image or other product popped up! Accomplish this by using foam tape, foam squares, dimensional glue dots, or other means!!

We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!

Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 8/15 - 11:59 pm EST

I have a little hot air balloon obsession but none
of my carts have a Hot Air Balloon so I made this one using the George and Basic Shapes circle and ovals.
The bottom part is part of a cupcake cut from
the Sweet Treats cartridge. The hearts are a little Punch
from Recollections. To connect the parts I used Twine from Trendy Twine.

This sentiment is from the new August Stamp Of the Month Set!! I LOVEEEE this sentiment, one of my favorites yet!!
The banner is from the Rock Princess Cartridge.

You must be asking, where is the popping??
Is really hard to see it in the photo so I am showing
the Foam Tabs tower I made to make it look round.

I hope you enjoyed my card!!
I can't wait to see what you guys make!!

Thursdays with Tombow: The Tombow Olympics!!

This week we are having the Tombow Games!!
I'm a bad athlete but if there was a competition for fussy cutting I would totally get a medal!! You can win too!!
All you need to do is participate in this week's challenges.
Each of us is showcasing a product and all you need to
do is a project of your choice using that product.
For my project I made a card inspired in an award ribbon.
To put all the layers together I used the Mono Adhesive Dots.
My style is kinda cutesy but I wanted to use an athletic
image so I chose this stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.
To color her I used the Tombow Dual Brush Pens and to give her an extra pop to her and the sentiment I used Tombow Foam Tabs
To paper piece her dress I used the
is the product you need to use for my challenge.
Easy right?? All you need to do is a Gold Medal worthy project using the Mono Multi Liquid Glue!! Remember to leave the project link on the Tombow USA Blog!!
Are you ready to join the games!!
