Tombow USA June Inspiration Challenge!!

**YOU HAVE ONE MORE DAY TO JOIN THIS CHALLENGE!! LEAVE YOUR ENTRY HERE!!
Hi!! Tombow has another fun challenge for you!! All you need to do is use this board as inspiration!! Use at least 3 of the photos on this Pinterest board as inspiration and you must use the Mono Multi Liquid Glue!! That easy!!
Let me show you how I used the board for my layout. I pick the photos first because for me that is the most important thing about the layout.
I used the Pom Pom Tissue idea but I made it with a scallop punch and I didn’t have yellow tissue paper so I used mist and I like the variety of tones that came out. I layered them in groups of 3 and made the garland with my sewing machine. But I used the photo of the balloons and the hearts as inspiration to sew them together like a garland. I glued the garland to the layout using just a dot of Mono Multi Liquid Glue.
I used Art Glitter, modeling paste and a stencil to make the dots on the background. For this part I used the Polka Dot Tree a inspiration and I also used the glitter and sequin paint tray but you can’t see all the cool sparkle and the chunky glitter on the photo. To glue the hot air balloon I used Tombow Foam Tabs.
I really wanted to mimic the hopscotch in the photo and I was inspired by the one made with twine but I ended up doing one with the Epiphany Crafts Studio Shape Square Tool, gray cardstock and Fancy Pants numbers. I knew I wanted to do the hopscotch with some craft supply but I wasn’t sure so you don’t have to be too literal with your inspiration.
I really loved the “Don’t forget to play” quote  and I’m glad I was able to use it as a title! For my doodling around the page I used the french poster as inspiration.
I hope you liked my project and I can’t wait to see what you make!! Please leave us a link that is easy for us to access so we can see your projects and people can vote for you! It would be great if you can guide me through our inspiration progress! !
GOOD LUCK!!

Tombow USA Blog Hop with Guest Designer Trixie

Hi and Welcome to the Tombow USA Blog Hop with Trixie Hulm!!
You probably came from Melissa's Blog but if you just happened to stumble across my blog go to the Tombow USA Blog to start.

For my project I made a card but not a usual card with a sentiment or theme. Some people in my family like my scrapbook pages so by making this card it gives them a piece of my scrapbooking to take with them that is easy and cheap to ship!! This is a regular A2 card so I used a wallet size photo.

For my papers and die cuts I used the Lucky Charm Collection by Dear Lizzy for American Crafts, I also added some My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots and a Vintage Setting from Epiphany Crafts. To glue the Vintage Setting I used the Tombow Power Tabs

For gluing the die cuts and papers on the card I used the Mono Adhesive Permanent. I also doodled a few elements on the card to avoid making it too plain for my taste.

Of course we need some Tombow Candy for this hop so we are giving away:
MONO Adhesive Permanent, 52 Ft. with extra refill and,
MONO Adhesive Removable with an extra refill.

The more you comment, the more chances you have to win!
Now, head on over to Marie's Blog to see what kind of craftiness she has in store!

Here is the whole lineup in case you get lost:
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!
Special Thanks to Trixie for being our Guest Designer this week!
We are so thrilled to have you as part of the Tombow Team!

Friday

Scrapbooks Plus Freestyle Friday: 80's Style

Thank God is Friday!! If you are in the mood for a scrappy weekend remember to go to Scrapbook Plus to pick up the Kit of the Month!! In case you don’t know the Design Team is using the K & Co. Collection from My Mind’s Eye. I made this layout using scraps left from the two double layouts I made. You can see all my project in the Design Team Wall!
On the corner I tried to mimic one of the embellishments of the Crate Paper Ephemera packs. I used a doily, the K & Co. Paper, Enamel Dots, a Cabana Vintage Setting from Epiphany Crafts, twine and the Tim Holtz Mini Stapler. To hold some of the twine I used the Mono Aqua Liquid Glue from Tombow, which you can find in the adhesives section of the store.
To make the starbursts I used many triangles and then I sewed on each of them to make the starburst effect even more noticeable. I used the Mono Aqua Liquid Glue from Tombow to glue the dew drops.
The stickers I used are from My Mind’s Eye.
The frame is from the Chipboard Stickers Sheet. But I added a flower from the Maggie Holmes Clips and some rocks with the I Rock from Imaginisce.
For the title I used some sparkly Thickers for the title. I also used some Tattered Angels mists around the layout but, I took the cap off to make little drops around the layout.

I hope you enjoyed this post!! Have a great weekend!!
Take Care!!

Summer Isn't a Bummer Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the Imaginisce/Tombow “Summer isn’t a Bummer” Blog hop.

This week, Imaginisce and Tombow have teamed up to get you in the summer spirit.  Both design teams are excited to show you just what we have done with the Hot Rocks as well as My Endless Summer and Outdoor Adventure collections from Imaginisce, and Tombow’s Dual Brush Pen Markers and amazing adhesive products.

For my project I used the Outdoor Adventure Collection. I don't know why but when I saw the Wild Child Die cut it reminded me of this photo and when I saw the awesome and beautiful Constellations Paper I thought Rock Star.

These cool mountains are part of the Gone Camping Die Cuts Pack. I also used the Constellations paper with my Epiphany Crafts Star 25 Tool.

I went to town with my new best friend, the I Rock!! I LOVE tools but this one is a must on your tool box! On the corner I used some mountains that I got from one of the papers. For most die cuts I used the Tombow Foam Tabs and for the rest of papers I used the Mono Adhesive Dots which could be one of the prizes you can win at this hop!

I used some super tiny alphas on the Outdoor Journal Sticker Stacker to document about the photo.

I did lots of fussy cutting on the mountains and layered them on the bottom of the page using the Tombow Foam Tabs for more dimension. I LOVE the die cut I used for the title, it turned on the light bulb in my head. I had to add more Rocks, I probably used more than 50 rocks on this layout. If you look at the photo I even added a few rocks to the Bass Drum.

The Star Gazing and Adventure Stickers are from the Adventure 12 x 12 sticker icons.

More mountains and rocks!!

Technique Tuesday: Gypsy-Cricut Tips

Today's Technique Tuesday is a little tip for Cricut users. I really love using my Gypsy but if you don't have one, don't worry because you can also make these projects using the Cricut Craft Room which is free!!
I used a basic circle for the background but you could use almost any shape you have available. I'm just giving you the basics so you can make your own backgrounds.
For the circles in the background I used a 1 1/2 circle and for the few I put inside of the pattern I used a one inch circle.
To make this layout I used this month's kit featuring the Kate & Co. Collection from My Mind's Eye.
I cut the patterned paper behind the circles to the same size so it looks like it comes likes that but it gives it a little bit of dimension.
The Gypsy doesn't have the Auto-fill Feature like the Cricut so you have to make it row by row. This time it worked for me since I wanted a little bit of space between the rows. To match that space between the circles I used the Kerning Tool. You can stack them so they can look like a Connect Four game or you can alternate them like I did.
My second technique with the Gypsy/Cricut Craft Room are shaped cards.
For the frame I used the Live Simply Cartridge but of course you can use any frame or shape you want. The girl on the card is from the Gypsy Wanderings digital cartridge. The flower on the top was made with the Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Tool Flower 20, I used an Enamel Dot on top of it. The flower on the girl's hair is from the chipboard stickers.
Most Cricut Shapes come with a shadow feature or a big base like the one in this frame. You can make the cards to open up or to the side. It depends on the shape of the base or your needs/taste. This time I chose the card to open up. The first thing I did was get two base shapes of the same size. The one on the top will be that back so I used the flip feature (two triangles with the horizontal line between them) just the top shape. The next step is to check the X/Y axis. In the case of the card that opens up both shapes should be on the same number on the X. For the one that opens to the side they should be on the same number on the Y. Now is time to weld, for some shapes you don't need something to connect them. In this case I added a rectangle in the center then grouped both sides and the rectangle and I used the weld feature. **If you don't group them they won't weld correctly. Instead of cutting to test it just use the Preview Button (Eye).
I have been using my Gypsy for almost 2 years. If you have any questions about these 2 tips or any other Gypsy/Cricut related question please leave it in the comments sections. I would be very happy to help!!
I hope you enjoyed this post!!
Take Care!!

I made a layout using the Lucky Charm Collection by Dear Lizzy for American Crafts.
