So glad for October!

Hey Everyone! This is Jennie with some Fall Pocket Pages using the October 2017 Oh Deer Me Kit.

I used the October 8.5 x 11 Papers to make the title card and mat some of the photos.

One of things I love the most about fall is all the different textures like leaves and sweaters. In my layout, I tried to copy that by using wood veneers, cork and leatherette leaves.

Since I saw this October Wood Veneer I knew that it would go on a title card. To write the week I used the Autumn Cardstock Alpha Stickers and to stamp the dates the October Label Stickers

I don't like to put 2 filler cards together, the one in the center is there for the purpose of sharing the layout. It's a photo my daughter's teacher shared with the Dojo App. It includes other children but seeing blurred faces throws me off so this is easier for me to swap it for a filler card. For the third card I made a filler card using a card from the Adventure Journal Cards Set. I used the October 8.5 x 11 Papers to die cut a stitched circle then I added this cork globe from an old Oh Deer Me Kit and top I added a white puffy heart.

The wood veneers in the shaker pocket are from an old Oh Deer Me Kit. I used the Real Deal Clear Stamp on the photo in the corner.

Sometimes when my week is slow or I don't take many photos so I add photos of pictures my daughters made. That way I keep all the images but I don't keep all the papers and clutter.
I hope you enjoyed these pages! Share your fall creations with us using the hashtag #freckledfawn!

Pocket Life with Citrus Twist

Hey Everyone! This is my third and last post with the October Pocket Life Kit from Citrus Twist! I had so much fun with this kit! The colors were perfect for this week's photo!

This spread also goes with Kristen's Pocket Life Challenge which was to mix black and white photos with color photos.

I had a second title card for my daughter's first day of school.

This is one of the 4x6 cards that come in the kit. The stars and the glitter enamel dots are from the Sprinkles Kit. The "Live in the Moment" Speech Bubble is from one of the 6x6 papers from Turn The Page.

I used the stamps from the kit on my photos. The quality of these stamps are awesome for photos. If you need more stamping inspiration Dearly Dee on YouTube. She inspires me to use my stamps a lot!

In this filler/title card I mixed the foiled alphas with the stamps. This die cut with the 3 is perfect for my daughter's first day of third grade.

Whenever I write all my journaling in 2 cards I use numbers to pair the journaling with the photo but I ran out of  numbers so I used letters from the foiled alpha stickers.

In this card I tried created a gallery effect with the frame stickers from Turn The Page and the rectangle for the frame.

You can make your own  filler cards with a few embellishments and stickers. I like to alternate photos and filler cards so it looks less busy even though busy is my style.

I used the photo corners from the Sprinkles Kit to save the Pokemon card without gluing it down that way they can take them out to look at them.

I this card, I added the tags of some of my daughters' school items. I didn't want to glue them down so I put washi on them so you could see both sides.

In my process video I also shared what's left of my kit!

I hope you enjoy these pages! Make sure you subscribe so you can get the November Kit!

It's Starting To Look Like Fall

Hey Everyone! I am super excited because now Freckled Fawn has subscriptions for Embellishments & Journaling Cards and Embellishments & Papers

To journal I stamped the numbers on the photos using an old Freckled Fawn stamp and in 2 of the Freckled Fawn Journal Cards I wrote the journaling.

To embellish I used the October Oh Deer Me Kit Embellishment Kit but I also pulled out a few old Freckled favorites! These kits sell like hot cakes make sure you subscribe to them so you don't miss out! I'm a sucker for arrows and I used the ones in the Autumn Chipboard Stickers. I like that chipboard stickers offer a little dimension without being bulky.

To make the title card I used one of the papers from the October Papers. I love this heart pattern and the colors! For the numbers of the week I used the Large Acetate Numbers. I love when the kits come with labels because I can use them to stamp the dates. The one I used on the title card is from the October Label Stickers.

I love to layer little word stickers with washi and the October Plaid Washi is gorgeous!! I put a vellum phrase on top of the October Label Stickers and the effect is super cool! On the bottom right photo I used the Autumn Cardstock Alpha Stickers.

I LOVE button stickers! I remember that my first Oh Deer Me Kit a few years ago had some like these and I probably bought them 3 times! In this journaling card I used a cute coffee mug from the Autumn Epoxy Wood Button Stickers. I love cork stickers and this kit is perfect for them. I used one leaf from the Autumn Cork Stickers with Gold Foil Accents and a few hearts of the Foil Cork Heart Stickers.

I hope you enjoyed these fall pocket pages! The October Oh Deer Me Kits with Journaling Cards and Papers are already sold out! Save your spot for the November Kits! You won't regret it! Take Care!

Citrus Twist Pocket Life Challenge

Hey Everyone! This is Jennie and I am really excited! The Citrus Twist Blog has a few challenges every month to jump start your creativity. This week Kristen will be inspiring you! One of her prompts is to use black and white photos, The second one is to do something you've never done and the third one to focus on the photos.

I am crazy about labels! They are perfect for layering but most of the time I use them to stamp my dates on my title card. I love using a heart die with my 6x6 papers because you can really see the cute patterns in the die cuts.

These aqua alpha stickers are gorgeous! I love the silver foiling! They are exclusive from Citrus Twist.

Something I've never done in my pages is using photo corners. I really love how it came out! These are from the Sprinkled Add On Kit. For the base card of the photos I used the 6x6 paper pad.

A good tip to use black and white photos it to look for  low quality photos. It makes them look better instantly. It's also a good option when the colors don't match the rest of the photos. I went to town on my 4x6 photos with the Turn The Page Stickers.

I loved the photos from this week because they were happy random memories. The colors were really happy too!
I hope you were inspired by Kristel like I was in this layout!
Have an awesome day!

Spring Pocket Pages

Hey Everyone! For this layout I wanted to use my Project Life cards stash. I have so many it's crazy! This one is an oldie! I've had it in draft for months! I kept forgetting about it!

I used the Happy Place Project Life Kit and I got my Freckled Fawn embellishments! These embellishments go perfectly with Project Life Cards. If you have a a bunch of cards and you only need embellishments pick up an Oh Deer Me Kit

I used a few 3x3 photos. I put these photos on the cards and added washi, puffy stickers and little words from Simple Stories to frame them.

These awesome alphas are from Studio Calico and I didn't have any numbers so I stitched the numbers with an Amy Tangerine stitching stencil.

This week I was taking little snapshots of my life. I don't do week in the life because that is what I try to do with my Project Life all the time. I had a lot of white space around that photo with the Lalaloopsy shoes so I used a 2 inches circle punch. I love how it looks! I need to do it more often.

I also used little word stickers from Tim Holtz.

I love the happy colors of this core kit! I also used a bunch of emoticons from Freckled Fawn. To glue the rubber emoji pieces I used the Tombow Xtreme Adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed these olden pages!
Take Care!

Project LifeBlack & White in Full Color!

Hi Everyone! This is Jennie! I am in LOVE with Black & White! The September Oh Deer Me Kit got me hooked! I grabbed a bunch of black and white things from my freckled stash! I had so much color in these pages that I had no idea what to do with them. The black and white worked perfect!

When I decide on a color scheme I start with washi tape. It's the easiest thing to pick for me.

Freckled Fawn is very talented with fonts! I love to mix them and layer them! I like to use small fonts like the Black Puffy Script Alpha Stickers on photos.

This is the only color embellishment I grabbed because I wanted really big letters and the green works with the photos. Underneath I layered washiWhite Foam Words Stickers and Chipboard Words.  I like to staple some embellishments to add detail and texture.

The Foam Words also come in black! I used the Black & White Vellum Alphas to underline the word amazing!

In this filler card I wanted to play with words and fonts. You can find the ampersand in the Large Acetate Numbers. I used the Tombow MONO Twin Permanent Marker to color the  Days of the Week Wood Veneers.

The Glitter Enamel Triangles are perfect little accents for pages and photos.

I love square photos, I need to include them in my album more often!
I hope you enjoyed these pages! Take up the challenge to only use black and white supplies and let us know how it goes!
