Thursdays with Tombow: Day Book

Have you heard of the Amy Tangerine Day Books?? Well they are very in lately and, a few of my friends on the Smash*aholics Group on Facebook started to make them. Well I gave into it too and I couldn’t believe how easy and fun it was!! It took me less than two hours to make everything in it. Which is fast for me because I am the slowest scrapper ever!!
For these embellishments cluster I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue and the Tombow Power Tabs for the button in the center of the Spirograph embellishment and the black and white brad. For the closure of the book I used theFastener Tabs which work amazingly!! I placed the brad and on top of the prongs I placed one side of theFastener Tab. Then I peeled off the other side of the Fastener Tab and Ta-Da!!
See?? You barely see the prongs.
For binding the book I sewed the side with Twine.
Here is a collage of the pages. I left them pretty bare so I can add things and embellishments as I fill the book. For the “Polaroid” I used the Mono Adhesive Removable so I can add a photo behind it later. For gluing the glassine envelope I used the Mono Adhesive Dots and for the glasses and mustache I used the Mono Multi Liquid Glue.
For making the little folders I folded the bottom of the paper up and then I did a little slit in the center so the fold will look better and the did some corner rounder action and to glue them on the side I used the Mono Adhesive Dots. There you can add tickets and memorabilia.
For that last pocket I folded to the side but first I glues the border punch strip with the Mono Adhesive Dots and then I glued the top and bottom to make the pocket.
I used the Kaleidoscope Collection from Momenta and I made my die cuts with my Cricut.
Have you used the Amy Tangerine Day Books?? Would you be interested in making your own?? You should totally try it!! If you make one with you Tombow Products share your project with us. We would LOVE to see what are you up too ;0)
I hope you liked mine!!
Take Care!!

I'm bookmarking this and am definitely going to be trying it soon! I already took out papers and such to create a little day book for my 30 Days of Lists (Sept edition) :)
